Craft & Power
The Buried Sun
Deep beneath Sumuntir, the Buried Sun supplies heat no ordinary furnace can produce. Built over a sealed conduit to Nekra Mael, it channels that power through ancient Dothloden engineering.
Here, blitspar can be refined under conditions that would destroy a surface forge. Keeping such a furnace working demands knowledge passed carefully between generations. Its continued operation is one reason Sumuntir can still produce things the rest of Tidefall cannot reproduce.
Dothloden Craftsmanship
A Dothloden blade or suit of armour is prized throughout Tidefall. Their reputation rests on generations of exacting metalwork, with techniques preserved in workshops long after the empire that supported them fell.
Human nobles pay dearly for work from Sumuntir. Dwarven artisans living elsewhere carry parts of that tradition into their own forges, though few retain the knowledge needed for its most demanding creations.
Blitspar
Dothloden craftsmen learned to bind arcane power into precisely worked crystals. Set into calibrated housings, blitspar could drive tools, machines and towering constructs.
Every cut and fitting mattered. A flaw could destroy the work or release something its maker could not control. The surviving masters preserve those exacting methods, while dwarven artisans across Tidefall carry smaller fragments of the tradition into their own workshops.
