Cities
Sumuntir
Carved into the high Dothspire Mountains, Sumuntir stands above the great forge known as the Buried Sun. Its inhabitants maintain the stonework, workshops and inherited practices of a civilisation that once reached across Tidefall.
Life follows strict routines and hierarchies. The same care that preserves their finest craft leaves little room for change. To those who remain, the hold offers continuity and order. For those who leave, that certainty can become something they miss.
Furrodir
Furrodir once processed much of the island’s mineral wealth. Its furnaces and workshops supplied an empire, sending finished goods far beyond the mountains.
Now its approaches lie among the scorched canyons of the Tornvale Rifts. The city was sealed and abandoned, and accounts of its fate remain uncertain even among the Dothloden. Its ruined industrial halls belong to a period when dwarven ambition was still growing, and restraint had not yet become their guiding concern.
Ardundir Ruins
Ardundir was turned into a military workshop during the war against the Sond. Its halls housed the construction of great mechanical weapons, with chambers built to accommodate work on an extraordinary scale.
Pale masonry, copper fittings and violet inscriptions survive in its buried remains. Among the technical records are traces of ordinary lives: workers writing of their families and the homes they had left behind. Much of the stonework remains remarkably intact after thousands of years.
