The Women of the Clans

Goruk women have helped guide the formation of their new society, shaping communal traditions and interpreting omens. Their influence gives meaning to the relics and signs around which the clans are gathering.

Men form the warrior class, with strength and success in raiding occupying much of their lives. The growing nation depends on both: those who lead its fighting and those who guide what its communities believe.

Way of Life

Families live close together, share work and take part in daily rituals as a community. Goruks have shorter lives than most of Tidefall’s peoples, and their settlements are places of concentrated activity.

The kingdom’s picture of them is shaped largely by violent encounters. Within their communities, those same hunters and fighters belong to families, share responsibilities and take part in a culture outsiders rarely witness.

Goruk Raiders

Around five feet tall, Goruks have hunched frames, lean muscle and mottled green-grey skin. Their smaller size makes them no less dangerous than their Orc cousins, particularly in ground they know well.

They favour quick attacks, poisoned weapons and routes through dense woodland or broken terrain. In Fellmarch, some coat their weapons in the corrosive black water of the wilds, making even a shallow wound dangerous.
